Pelvic Stabilizing - Custom Foot Orthotics
If you are trying to build a healthy body then you MUST have a stable foundation. Just like when building a house or any other important structure, you must have a strong and level foundation to build on.
Many conditions that people commonly see Physical Therapists and Chiropractors for originate from their feet.
It is common for people who have issues with their backs, necks, shoulder, hips, knees and ankles to also have a loss of the normal arches of their feet or an actual limb length difference.
As a holistic Chiropractor (one who looks at the body as a whole), Dr. Ackerman will analyze your feet as part of his examination. This is because he is looking to see if you have the proper foundation to help keep your body in alignment after your adjustments.
In the event that someone has the loss of an arch, a limb length difference or both, Dr. Ackerman will digitally cast the perfect mold for a sneaker / shoe insert (orthotic) to correct the problem. He will then send the mold to the company electronically and within 1-2 weeks you will have your custom inserts to replace you current ones.
Many people have had tremendous success with this approach and this is why both Dr. Ackerman and the manufacturer guarantee your satisfaction. In addition to that, they are warranted for up to a year.
Stabilizing orthotics are highly recommended for the following people and conditions:
You will see an instant improvement with your balance and total body alignment once you put in your total body stabilizing foot orthotics.
The major differences between custom orthotics and the store brand is the customization, 3 arch support and materials used.
The inserts you may buy in a store are not taking into consideration the alignment or misalignments of the entire body. Even if they did support your foot properly, they are not taking any leg length differences or body weight imbalances into consideration. Also, the foot has three arches which must be addressed. Depending on your bodies posture you may need more support in one of these three areas. Standard store orthotics only take 1-2 of these arches into consideration and they are generic in height and size.It is crucial that you have your three arches supported according to you actual foot and bodily alignment.
Lastly, the materials used in store bought inserts are much cheaper and less supportive. Most standard companies use gels or foams and focus mainly on comfort. This is great for shock absorption but doesn't do much in the department of supporting your actual body or arches.
The stabilizing orthotics we use are composed of top of the line materials and are both super comfortable and super supportive. In addition to that, they last much longer than the conventional store bought ones.
Chances are, if you have gone to a podiatrist to have your orthotics done, they provided you with a structural orthotic and not a functional orthotic. The difference is that a structural orthotic is hard and rigid plastic where a functional orthotic is still supportive yet light weight and flexible. This is why our orthotics are ideal for runners and athletes because they are only going to enhance your performance and not hinder you.
